1. What we collect

Account information: name, email, role (creator or business), profile details, portfolio links, and avatar images you provide during onboarding.

Marketplace activity: Embers you post or claim, briefs, deliverables, submissions, approvals, messages, favorites, and payout information.

Payment information: billing details are collected and stored by our payment processors; Ember does not store full card numbers.

Usage data: pages visited, features used, device and browser information, and approximate location when you use map features.

2. How we use it

To operate the marketplace: matching creators with Embers, enforcing deadlines, processing payments and payouts, and maintaining content libraries.

To communicate with you about your account, Embers you’re involved in, and platform updates. You can opt out of non-essential emails at any time.

To improve the Service, prevent fraud and abuse, and comply with legal obligations.

3. What we share

Between users: businesses see creator profiles, portfolios, and submissions; creators see the briefs and business details needed to complete an Ember.

With vendors: payment processors, hosting and infrastructure providers, and analytics services — only as needed to operate the Service.

We do not sell your personal information. We may disclose information when required by law or to protect the rights and safety of our users.

4. Your choices and rights

You can update your profile and account settings at any time, and request a copy or deletion of your personal data by contacting us.

Deleting your account removes your profile from the marketplace; records of completed Embers may be retained as required for payment, tax, and legal purposes.

5. Data security and retention

We use industry-standard safeguards including encryption in transit and row-level access controls on stored data. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.

We retain personal data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service, and as required by law.

6. Children

The Service is not directed to anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from minors.

7. Changes and contact

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date.
